From Fiona Goode to Constance Langdon, Jessica Lange has created several iconic characters during her time on “American Horror Story.” The actress also won several prestigious during her time on the show but stepped away from the AHS universe after landing lead roles in the first four seasons.

Lange surprised fans of the FX anthology series when she appeared in two episodes of “American Horror Story: Apocalypse.” Although she came back after being away from the series for years, fans won’t be seeing her in any more episodes.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lange gushed about her most recent role in “The Politician” and revealed her desire to put “AHS” in her rearview.

When asked if she would ever go back to the FX series the actress said, “I don’t think so. I feel like I got the best of it in those first four seasons. Great characters. It was exciting to do. I worked with some of my favorite actors, but I can’t see that we could ever get back to that.”

During her return to “American Horror Story,” Lange was featured in an episode that also marked Sarah Paulson’s directorial debut. The actress revealed she felt it was a great way to say goodbye to the TV show.

At the moment, Lange has been playing Dusty Jackson on “The Politician.” The actress revealed she has been enjoying her time on the dark comedy after years of filming dramatic roles.

“All these years, I haven’t played that many comedies. I thought this will be good. It’ll be good to shift gears and try something completely different. The character was so outrageous and so monstrous. I don’t know it just appealed to me,” she said.

“The Politician” is currently streaming on Netflix.
