“American Idol” reboot judge Katy Perry just announced the audition dates for ABC’s newest reality TV show.

Following her 96-hour “Witness” live stream stunt on her YouTube channel, Perry confirmed that the live auditions will kick off in Chicago on Sept. 11 and New Orleans on Sept. 14. “I am so excited to be part of the search for the next American Idol. Auditions are open, so what are you waiting for? I want to hear from you,” she said.

In addition to the two major city auditions, the “American Idol” bus will hit the road and head to Portland, Oregon on Aug. 17. Other stops in the West Coast include Oakland, California on Aug. 20, Provo, Utah on Aug. 23, Denver, Colorado on Aug. 26, Omaha, Nebraska on Aug. 29, Tulsa, Oklahoma on Sept. 1, Shreveport, Louisiana on Sept. 4, Muscle Shoals and Alabama on Sept. 7.

The East Coast bus tour will stop in Orlando, Florida on Aug. 17, Miami, Florida on Aug. 19, Atlanta, Georgia on Aug. 22, Charleston, South Carolina on Aug. 25, Asheville, North Carolina on Aug. 27, Louisville, Kentucky on Aug. 30, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Sept. 3, Annapolis, Maryland on Sept. 5 and Boston on Sept. 8.

Meanwhile, Perry recently spoke with “Extra’s” Mario Lopez to say which celebrities she wants to work with on “American Idol.” “My dream people would be Rihanna and Tim McGraw,” she said.

The “Dark Horse” singer also revealed that she had always been in talks with the producers of “American Idol.” However, it is only now that she felt it was the right time to be part of the reality competition. “It’s time now to really make people’s dreams come true and to show them dreams do come true,” she said.

As of late, Perry is the only singer to have been tapped as judge for the reboot. “American Idol” original judge Paula Abdul previously expressed her desire to be part of the upcoming episodes. However, Simon Cowell said that he doesn’t think the people behind “American Idol” will ever invite him back on the show.

“American Idol” reboot will premiere on ABC sometime next year.
