“American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips turned 26 today, and his wife Hannah made sure to remind him how lucky she is for having him as her husband.

“Happy Birthday to the love of my life, my husband @Phillips. You bring joy to even the worst of times and keep me laughing always. 26!” Hannah wrote on Twitter, alongside a photo of the couple smiling.

Phillips, who emerged as the Season 11 champion of the FOX singing competition series, tied the knot with Hannah in October last year.

According to People, the couple exchanged “I do’s” in front of 250 of their closest friends and family at the Resora Plantation in Albany, Ga.

“I’m so excited,” the “Home” hitmaker told the news outlet prior to the nuptials.”What I love most about her is she’s my best friend and I can tell her anything. I just love her.”

Hannah added, “I feel like when I met Phillip, he was the answer to so many questions that I had. He just makes everything make sense for me.”

Phillip and Hannah, who met at an event for his sister’s charity organization Mission Change in 2009, got engaged in the Christmas of 2014.

Phillips almost exited his season of “American Idol” early due to a congenital kidney condition. He, however, managed to finish the competition with Hannah’s support.

“She was so excited for me and she helped me out a lot through this,” Phillip told E! News back in May 2012. “Hopefully she’ll be able to come on tour with me. It’d be cool to have her there. She’s supported me throughout all of this. I love her to death!"

Blackwell appeared in the music video for Phillips’ debut single, “Home,” and has often joined the singer on tour.

Aside from Hannah, a lot of fans also sent their birthday wishes for Phillip via Twitter. So the crooner shared a video clip on the social networking site, thanking all of the them for their greetings.
