In a blog post, Innersloth revealed that the new system has been in the works for a while. The gaming studio admitted that it really took time to implement the system thoughtfully. “A proper moderation system is one that is extremely difficult and time-consuming,” the gaming studio shared. “It is not as easy as just having a ‘report’ button and having an algorithm ban someone after a certain number of reports.”

The "Among Us" Airship update will also provide players with the choice to select which room they would like to begin the game in. Additionally, those who love to play in style will definitely love the fresh set of hats coming in the highly-anticipated patch. The fourth map features ladders, which will add more challenge to both impostors and crewmates.

The gaming studio also shared some details on the challenges it encountered during the game's biggest year. Aside from maintaining the game, the team has to deal with a lot of meetings, hirings and work on the upcoming update too. “Additionally, creating a map and updates isn’t as simple as creating one aspect of the game and throwing it onto the PC, Innersloth admitted.

According to the studio, "Because our game is cross-platform, it means EVERYTHING needs to work on as many devices as possible.” You may have noticed most modifications to the game focus on just PC, as that makes development much easier,” Innersloth noted.

Innersloth was just a team of five developers when it made "Among Us" and released it in 2018. The game is now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android devices.
