One of the more controversial changes made by the recent “Apex Legends” Update 1.2 was the removal of bunny-hop healing. However, “Apex Legends” players will be happy to know that it is still possible to bunny-hop heal even after the update.

In “Apex Legends”, you are required to stand still in order to heal yourself but players have found that you can bypass this mechanic by using the bunny-hop technique. Players were able to use healing items while bunny-hopping, which is great for recovering while on the go. The technique is also perfect for healing during team fights as bunny-hopping makes it difficult for your enemies to land shots on you. The erratic movement and lower hitbox almost guarantees you will survive the battle. While healing in the game is considered to be very fast, it still put players at an increased risk. Hence, bunny-hop healing was also used to make a swift escape while recovering health and shields.

The recent update for “Apex Legends” supposedly completely patched the bunny-hop heal out of the game, however, one “Apex Legends” player found out that wasn’t the case.

After Respawn Entertainment’s decision to patch the technique out of the game, a lot of fans weren’t pleased as they relied on the bunny-hop heal to improve their gameplay. However, one player took it upon himself to figure out what Respawn did to fix the bunny-hop heal. He then discovered not only what Respawn did but also how to work around it.

Streamer and YouTuber QuakeV found out that, in order to fix the exploit, Respawn introduced a slowdown debuff that comes into effect when players begin to bunny-hop. While this works with almost all legends, Respawn’s own design for three specific legends allows them to still bunny-hop heal even after the patch. You can watch QuakeV’s tutorial on how to bunny-hop heal after the patch below:

Bloodhound, Bangalore, and Octane are your go-to legends now if you really want to keep bunny-hop healing. Their abilities grant them immunity to slowdown effects like the one that Respawn implemented, thus allowing them to still bunny-hop heal even after the patch. Until Respawn Entertainment catches wind of this work-about, you can still use these three legends to bunny-hop heal to your heart's content.
