Apple’s Health and Activity features have been overhauled for the iOS 13, with the whole interface being changed for a better experience. Some of the familiar features can now be found under a different tab. The new iOS 13 Apple Health features are only under two tabs now.

New Two Tabs

The two tabs for the Apple Health app are the Summary and Browse, two less than the prior version’s four tabs. The Summary shows the page of all of the user’s tracked health metrics. Heart rate, activity, stand hours, heart rate variability, steps, stand minutes and activity can be found here.

Meanwhile, the Browse tab can show the list of health metrics that can be put on the new Summary tab for quicker access next time around.

Other Services

Apple’s new Health features also include the “Get More From Health” menu. This menu will show you different articles and helpful primers on handling other health-related tasks such as registering as an organ donor. Articles about specific health issues such as hearing health and menstrual cycles are available here. These articles could help you read the health metrics in the app.

New Health Data Tracking

In iOS 13, health metrics are not exclusively sorted by dates anymore. Every time a specific metric is checked, users will find it changing which could be confusing for them.

Nevertheless, users still have a choice to see data depending on the time and date it was recorded. Once found, the Apple Health app has an easy way to sort out and show the important details for the user’s convenience.

Noise Control

Aside from simply keeping track of health data for the user, the Apple Health app can also help control volumes at an acceptable level to prevent any long-term ear damage. The Health app can be set to detect if the phone’s volume ever hits these levels and remind the owner through a notification.

By late 2019, more services from Apple will be released. It is highly possible that these new services and subscriptions could be integrated with this app.
