Apple (AAPL) displayed a big message to its competition for this year’s CES. The message was emblazed on 13-stories of a hotel that overlooked the Las Vegas Convention Center where CES will be held.

The message to its rivals reads, “What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone.” It also included the URL to Apple’s privacy website.

The Apple promotion is a take on the popular Las Vegas slogan, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."

Apple does not have an official presence at CES this year, where Google takes up a sizable footprint, tripling its size from last year, CNBC reported.

Both Amazon and Google are expected to make quite a showing at CES, which is billed as the biggest tech conference of the year. The two companies are expected to display more products under the Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant brands, which Apple is struggling to get a foothold with its HomePod tech product, CNBC reported.

Apple made it clear to CES attendees that it does not sell user data which Amazon and Google have previously used to sell products, CNBC reported. Apple has made its commitment to consumer privacy quite public, separating itself from Google and Facebook that have been called into question for their privacy practices.

CES starts Tuesday and runs through Friday.

Share of Apple were down 0.51 percent as of 12:30 p.m. ET.
