An Arizona woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her father to death during an argument at an apartment complex in Phoenix.

Cops responded to a report of a stabbing incident at an apartment near Sweetwater and 29th avenues around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, the police found 44-year-old Cory Little bleeding and unresponsive inside the house, AZCentral reported. Fire crews arrived shortly after and determined the man had succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators found that Little's daughter, Shaqueila Hudson, 27, stabbed him during an argument. She was arrested and charged with manslaughter.

Hudson told investigators she got into an altercation with her father which allegedly turned physical. She claimed Little grabbed her arm and wrist, according to court documents accessed by Arizona's Family.

At some point during the argument, Hudson reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife from the table and told her father to leave her alone. As she turned to face Little, Hudson stabbed him in the chest, court paperwork said.

The woman, however, told police the stabbing was accidental and that she wanted her father to back off, and not attack her. It was unclear what led to the argument between the duo before the stabbing.

Court documents also revealed that Hudson's two children were in the apartment at the time of the incident.

After speaking with the witnesses, detectives cleared the scene. Other details regarding the incident, including information about Hudson's two children, were not revealed by the authorities. An investigation was launched into the matter.
