Armie Hammer's father, Michael Armand Hammer, has reportedly died. He was 67.

The businessman passed away on Sunday, according to TMZ, which first broke the news of his demise.

Unnamed sources close to the family told the entertainment news outlet that Michael had been very ill for some time while battling cancer. However, the exact circumstances surrounding his death remain unknown.

Michael is survived by his wife, Misty, and his sons with ex-wife Dru Ann Mobley, Armie, 36, and Viktor, 34.

The late business titan used to work at an investment banking firm in the Big Apple before getting involved with his grandfather Armand Hammer's company, Occidental Petroleum.

Michael moved to Los Angeles in the '80s to work at Occidental Petroleum's headquarters. He became the company's vice president and landed a seat on the board of directors.

Armie's father reportedly inherited his grandfather's fortune, which was estimated to be $40 million, according to Entertainment Tonight.

The very private family was catapulted to the spotlight earlier this year due to the "House of Hammer" documentary, which detailed the allegations of abuse and sexual assault against Armie and his family's alleged misdeeds.

A family member, Casey Hammer, served as a consultant for the Discovery+ documentary that sought to expose the privileged lives of the wealthy.

"It's important to hold these people accountable now, even though most of them are dead, it's important that people of money and power and wealth don't get away with bad behavior anymore," Casey told ET in August.

She continued, "I think 'House of Hammer' really shines a light on that and it's about holding people accountable and empowering victims and letting them share their story so that they can start the healing process."

Meanwhile, as a result of the multiple sex abuse accusations and cannibalism claims thrown against the Hollywood actor, Armie lost roles in several projects he was working on this year.

The "Call Me By Your Name" star was dropped by his agency, WME, and he allegedly went bankrupt. Reports even surfaced earlier this year that Armie has since been working as a timeshare salesman in the Cayman Islands.

Last month, American Express reportedly sued the actor over an unpaid balance amounting to $67,000. However, his camp insisted that the joint account with his estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers would be settled once the former couple finalizes their divorce.
