Christine Evangelista as Megan
“The Arrangement” star Christine Evangelista said that it’s interesting to see whether Shaun (Carra Patterson) will keep Megan’s revenge plan a secret in Season 2 of the E! series. E! Entertainment

At the end of last night’s Season 1 finale of “The Arrangement,” Megan (Christine Evangelista) told Shaun (Carra Patterson) that she needs her because she’s “going to burn” the Institute for the Higher Mind down. But now that Shaun is working as in-house legal counsel for the institute, did Megan do the right thing trusting Shaun with her revenge plan?

In Season 1, episode 10 of “The Arrangement: Postnup,” Evangelista said that Megan trusts Shaun because she did not tell Terence (Michael Vartan) about her friend’s murderous past. “I believe that she will always do right by [Megan],” Evangelista said during an appearance on the series’ after-show.

Although Megan trusts Shaun, Evangelista is well aware that it doesn’t necessarily mean that the lawyer won’t turn on her character. “I’m very interested to see how that will play out,” Evangelista told TVLine when asked if Megan will eventually regret telling Shaun about her plan to seek revenge on the institute. “Shaun knew the secret all along. She knew what happened to Megan. Shaun knew about the brother. Shaun knows about the contract, too. And Shaun has proven herself to be a good friend, an honest friend and a very loyal friend. She’s an interesting player and will perhaps help her in Season 2 or not.”

“Most of Megan’s friends have obviously been tested throughout the season, and only a few people have been able to remain true,” Evangelista continued. “Hopefully, she’s one of them, but I don’t know.”

Evangelista added that she also doesn’t know what exactly will happen next to Megan’s relationship with Kyle (Josh Henderson). Megan vowed to take down the institute, but Kyle is a big part of it, so fans can expect that Megan’s plan won’t be easy with her boyfriend potentially getting in the way.

“That is a very, very good question,” Evangelista told TVLine when asked if Megan’s wants to take down Kyle, too. “Megan is at a point now where she either turns against him or she realizes that she wants to take him with her, and I’m not sure which direction it’s going to go in. I know that they genuinely love each other, and she wants to trust him, and perhaps she wants to help him in some way. Maybe a part of her plan is to get him out of the Institute? Or maybe it’s to take them all down?”

E! has yet to announce the release date for Season 2 of the series, but creator Jonathan Abrahams revealed on Twitter that they are already working on the sophomore run of the show.

“Our writer Jonathan Abrahams … is already working on his ideas for Season 2 and I know that he wants to push the envelope even more,” Henderson told The Daily Dish of what fans can expect from the next chapter of the series. “He’s [also] telling me he wants to completely continue to wow the audience. That’s a big task, but he can do it, so I got all the faith with him in the world.”

Much of Megan’s backstory was fleshed out in Season 1, so Henderson added that fans will likely learn more about Kyle’s past in Season 2.
