“The Arrangement” hasn’t aired its Season 1 finale yet, but according to series stars Josh Henderson and Christine Evangelista, show creator Jonathan Abrahams has already started developing ideas for Season 2 of the E! series.

In a recent interview with The Daily Dish, Henderson said that anything can happen in the show’s sophomore run. “I know that our writer Jonathan Abrahams, he’s already working on his ideas for Season 2 and I know that he wants to push the envelope even more,” teased the actor who plays Kyle West on the series. “He’s [also] telling me he wants to completely continue to wow the audience and that’s a big task, but he can do it so I got all the faith with him in the world.”

When asked what she thinks will happen in Season 2, Evangelista, who plays Megan Morrison on the show, said: “I mean thinking of where it ends [and] I have in my mind where I think it can go, but I was surprised this season where it went. So I don’t know. [But] I’m really looking forward to it.”

In Season 1, episode 9, it was revealed that Megan killed her stepbrother, Evan (Pavel Romano), after he sexually assaulted her several times when they were younger. Megan didn’t go to jail for Evan’s murder, but a man named Colton (Jeremy Schuetze) was arrested for it. After serving his sentence, Colton tracked Megan down and demanded $5 million from her. If he didn’t get the money, Colton told Megan that the public would know in no time that she’s a murderer.

Obviously, much of Megan’s backstory has been fleshed out in Season 1, so Henderson said that fans will likely learn more about Kyle’s past in Season 2.

As for what viewers can expect in this week’s Season 1 finale, Evangelista said: “I’m really shocked with how it ends. I think we find out [as the season wraps] more about Meghan's history, which I was also surprised about. And it ends where people’s loyalties are being tested, so it’s kind of shocking.”

Henderson added that the Season 1 finale will also reveal the consequence of Kyle’s engagement to Megan, which completely ruined the PR plan for his movie, “The Kill Plan.”

“What’re they gonna do to Kyle? Is someone gonna fire him? Is he gonna lose his career? He’s on top of the world,” Henderson teased to TooFab. “I think Kyle [popped the question to Megan because he] wanted to prove something to Megan because Megan was kind of in awe at this whole tabloid story, real, fake, this kind of blurred lines between what our real life is and what our public life is, and I think Kyle was ready to show Megan that, ‘You know what? Screw it all. I hear you. I know what you’re saying. I know that it doesn’t make a lot of sense to you, but I’m going to prove to you that I love you. I’m going to propose to you on my own terms.’ And that’s what he did.”

“The Arrangement” Season 1 finale, titled “The New Narrative,” airs on Sunday, May 7 at 10 p.m. EDT on E!
