After becoming the first female rapper to sign with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, Asian Doll’s getting ready to release some new music. She had put out a few mixtapes —like “Doll SZN” and “Project Princess” — and a feature on Bhad Bhabie’s “Hi Bich (Remix)” before landing the deal, but now Asian Doll’s excited to be working with Gucci Mane to take it all to the next level.

“It’s been perfect,” the rapper told International Business Times at the 2018 MTV VMAs red carpet about working with him. “It’s like a perfect match…he’s really like my coach. It’s really like so inspiring. I really love working with him. I wouldn’t rather be on another team or be signed to somebody other than Gucci.”

She continued: “I love him so much, and I love [his wife] Keyshia [Ka’Oir], and I just love the family bond that we have. And it’s just really so authentic, and I’m a really authentic rapper. So, he really pays attention to that, and he really believes in me. So, I’m really so excited.”

Aside from the general accomplishment of signing to a record label, Asian Doll has even more reason to be so enthusiastic. The artist is getting ready to release new music out into the world, although an official release date has not yet been revealed.

“I will be dropping like a tape called ‘So Icy Princess,’” she told IBT at the Aug. 20 event. “I cannot wait. I’m so excited. All my features are gonna be on there, like [Lil] Yachty, Swae Lee, Gucci. There are so many other artists, but I’m just so excited to finally get it out. Me and Gucci have been planning this for a while, but I’m just finally ready for it to be released.”

To add even more excitement to the mix, Asian Doll said she’s going to be on three major tours, which have yet to be announced, in the near future. She’s looking forward to getting out on the road and hitting the stage because she knows exactly the kind of performance she wants to give fans.

“I gotta bring the energy,” she said. “So, when I perform, I make sure I just bring all my energy. Everything.”

She said she learned to leave it all out on the stage after going to her first — and favorite — concert, which was a joint show with Drake and Lil Wayne. “It was so fun,” Asian Doll said. “It was really like my first concert that I ever went to, so I loved it. I enjoyed it.”
