A few days ago, gaming studio Ubisoft, along with BossLogic launched online the first teaser image of its latest installment to the successful “Assassin’s Creed” franchise, the “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.” While fans got a glimpse of the setting and a tease on the main character of the game, the game studio gave a vague Holiday 2020 release window. However, a new report claims that fans may have already figured out the exact release date of “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.”

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” Release Date

On Reddit, some “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fans have figured out the perfect date for Ubisoft to release the much-awaited title. According to them, the best time to release the action adventure title is during the  Leif Erikson Day, which falls on Oct. 9, 2020. This particular holiday is based on the Norse character, who was the first to step into the Americas.

The “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” is set in the 9th Century, while the disappearance of Leif Erikson was dated at around 1025. While he might not make an appearance in the upcoming game from Ubisoft because of the date constraint, some fans still believe that the game might be released on a Norse-related holiday. Also, this year’s Leif Erikson falls on a Friday, a day when Ubisoft usually releases its games.

The rumored release date also aligns with the release of the “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” companion novel. According to an earlier leak, which was later confirmed by the novel’s author, it would be released on Nov. 17, 2020. With games that come with a companion novel, it is worth noting that the novel is released a month before the official rollout of the game.

Other “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” Details

Unlike other games, “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” will only be released on Uplay and on Epic Games Store. Ubisoft has not yet revealed if the game would soon be made available on Steam. The upcoming title from Ubisoft will be playable on PC, PS4,  PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Google Stadia. A gameplay trailer is expected to launch soon. While the Lief Erikson day would be a great day for Ubisoft to release the “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla,” it is important to note that this is just fans’ prediction.
