It's been a few months since "Bachelor In Paradise" ended, but the same can't be said for the drama between Clay Harbor and Nicole Lopez-Alvar.

It all started when Clay commented on fellow "BIP" cast member John Paul Jones' Instagram photo captioned, "Some things just take time."

"I learned engagements aren't supposed to," the former NFL player wrote in reference to Nicole's decision to break-up with him because he wasn't ready to propose.

It could have ended there but when another Instagram user called Nicole a "moron" she chose to defend herself and simultaneously slam her ex in the process. According to Us Weekly, the 26-year-old claimed that Clay appeared on the ABC shows ("The Bachelorette" and "BIP") "for clout" and to "gain 15 minutes of fame" after a "failed NFL career."

It seemed like Clay was going to be the bigger man but on Oct. 15 the 32-year-old fired back with a series of tweets addressing four main concerns: his NFL career, his reasoning for not pursuing Nicole after the show, his thoughts on engagement and his relationship with Angela Amezcua (a "BIP" contestant he dated off-camera and broke up with months before filming).

"I wasn’t even gonna respond to the comments but what I will say is my failed NFL career was 3 times the average career length," he wrote discrediting Nicole's claim.

And when it came to continuing a relationship off-camera with the Latina, she apparently had already moved on, and Clay "didn’t wanna intrude."

He then began to explain his reasoning for not proposing to Nicole, despite knowing the show's "accelerated" timeline.

"I will not be pressured into something as powerful as an engagement," he began. "Each relationship is different and I didn't think mine made it far enough yet to be ready for that step."

Lastly, he acknowledged his previous relationship with Angela.

"As far as Angela is concerned, Angela and I met and dated completely off camera and we decided to break up," he shared. "Everyone on the show has broken up otherwise they wouldn’t be on the show. A big reason I decided to end things was not to waste her time or lead her on. (I was also told she wouldn’t be in paradise but that’s another story.)"
