It's not every day that you have a celebrity as well-known as talk show host Graham Norton casually drop by your residence, but such was the case for friends Grace Atwood and Becca Freeman. As hosts of the podcast "Bad on Paper," the pair frequently have the unique opportunity to interview celebrities "about their books, lives, loves, and all their good stories." Recently, the two spent some time speaking with the popular host and learned quite a few interesting things about him and his life.

Leading up to Norton's arrival for the podcast recording, host Becca Freeman revealed that they thought they were being pranked.

"We were kind of freaking out when Graham confirmed, do we just invite him over? We did, and he came," she exclusively told International Business Times in an interview, adding that the duo prefer to record at home in order to have a "more casual experience than recording in a studio."

As for what the two friends ask their subjects, Grace Atwood stated that they always crowdsource their questions in order to allow their listeners to take part in the interviewing process.

"It's really cool as we have celebrity guests to give our audience an opportunity to ask someone like Graham a question, someone that they wouldn't otherwise have access to," Atwood told IBT.

Once Norton arrived, the host freely discussed many topics, including writing his first novel at age 52.

"It was only when I turned 50, I just... I thought, you know what? I'm one of those guys. I've always said, 'I'd love to write a novel,'" he said, before adding "I just thought, 'Well, either I need to shut up about this or do it.'"

Thus, "Holding" (2016) And "A Keeper" (2018) were born.

The host also revealed that he feels "the two things you always need," luck and tenacity, led to his successful career as a talk show host on "The Graham Norton Show."

Along the lines of his long-running program, the television personality additionally revealed to the hosts that while he has managed to snag many of his dream guests (Madonna, George Clooney) there are still some that have remained ever-elusive. Who is still on the list? "We've never had Julia Roberts, we've never had Brad Pitt," he shared.

How do Atwood and Freeman feel about the TV host after spending the time getting to know him a bit? "Graham was an incredibly funny and gracious guest, and by the time he left, it felt like he was a new friend!" Freeman shared. Norton's interview will be available to listen to in its entirety on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
