Into the Badlands
Quinn (Marton Csokas, center) and Sunny (Daniel Wu, left) meet with a rival Baron in episode 4 of "Into the Badlands" Season 1. AMC

The Barons are on the brink of war in AMC's "Into the Badlands." Quinn (Marton Csokas) retaliated for the Widow's (Emily Beecham) little ambush in episode 3 by taking the fight to her door step ... and running her off of her land. That does not sit well with the other Barons, who are understandably nervous after Quinn's power play. It will take some delicate maneuvering to keep the Badlands from slipping into all out war in episode 4, "Two Tigers Subdue Dragons."

According to the synopsis for the new episode, Sunny (Daniel Wu) and M.K. (Aramis Knight) will try to figure out how to control M.K.'s mysterious powers. Sunny caught a glimpse of M.K.'s abilities, which are triggered when someone draws blood from the boy in combat, in the premiere. However, neither Sunny or M.K. have any idea what he is really capable of, let alone how to manage the dangerous gift. Plus, if Quinn finds out that they are hiding M.K.'s powers he will not be happy. The Widow wants to find M.K. to use him as a weapon to take over the Badlands, but can Sunny and M.K. use his powers to get back home to Azra?

Meanwhile, the synopsis also reveals that Quinn sets a dangerous parlay with a rival Baron to help fight The Widow. In episode 3, Quinn sent Sunny to meet with Zephyr (Ellen Hollman), Sunny's ex and the head Clipper of rival Baron Jacobee (Edi Gathegi). Sunny asked for Zephyr to help arrange a meeting between Quinn and Jacobee to prevent war, but Zephyr made a counter offer -- if Sunny killed Quinn instead the other Barons would reward him handsomely. For the moment, at least, Sunny maintains his loyalty and insists on following orders and setting up the meeting. However, the Widow has no interest in avoiding war -- fans are still getting over that Baron vs. Baron showdown in episode 3. In a sneak-peek video from episode 4, she ambushes a couple of Quinn's Clippers in their car with the help of a deceitful Tilda (Ally Ioannides).
