Barack Obama and Michelle Obama celebrated another milestone in their marriage.

The former president, 60, and first lady, 57, took to social media Sunday to post touching tributes for each other as they celebrated 29 years of marriage.

"How it started vs. how it’s going," Michelle wrote on Instagram, alongside a throwback photo of her and her husband cuddled up on a couch in their younger years atop a more recent shot of the couple enjoying some quality time on a different couch.

"Happy anniversary, Barack—love you!" she added.

Barack shared the same present-day photo of him and his wife on the couch, along with another of him and Michelle looking out a window while he held onto her waist.

"Happy anniversary, Miche! Over the past 29 years, I've loved watching the world get to know you not just as a daughter of the South Side, but as a mother, lawyer, executive, author, First Lady, and my best friend," he wrote on Instagram. "I can't imagine life without you."

The couple tied the knot on Oct. 3, 1992, and have since welcomed daughters Malia, 23, and Sasha, 20.

The Obamas' followers gushed over the couple in the comments section and sent them some love.

"Love you both!! Happy anniversary," one Instagram user commented.

"Happy wedding anniversary, my favorite couple," another wrote.

"Happy anniversary. I love your love!!" a third user added.

"Happy Anniversary to one of the most respectable couples EVER! Both of you are beautiful!" another commented.

In the former president's book "A Promised Land," he recalled how he and his wife "became friends as well as lovers." He called Michelle "original" and opened up about how the presidency affected their marriage.

"[L]ying next to Michelle in the dark, I'd think about those days when everything between us felt lighter, when her smile was more constant and our love less encumbered, and my heart would suddenly tighten at the thought that those days might not return," he wrote.

Michelle previously shared on her podcast the secret to her strong marriage with Barack. The ex-FLOTUS said it's about not giving up on each other when things are rough.

"Young couples, they face these challenges and they’re ready to give up because they think they’re broken," Michelle said.

She continued, "If that breaks a marriage, then Barack and I have been broken off and on throughout our marriage, but we have a very strong marriage. And if I had given up on it, if I had walked away from it in those tough times, then I would’ve missed all the beauty that was there as well."

Earlier this year, Michelle told People that their marriage is "even more solid" after going through their difficulties.

"I am happy to say that I can now look up from all of that and look over across the room and I still see my friend," she gushed.
