Looks like viewers won’t be returning to a very famous zip code next summer, as FOX has officially pulled the plug on “BH90210” after one season.

In a statement, FOX said, “We are so proud to have reunited in a very special summer event one of the network’s legacy series and casts with 90210 fans across the country.” The network also added, “Profound thanks to and respect for Brian, Gabrielle, Ian, Jason, Jennie, Shannen, and Tori, who, along with the entire crew and everyone at Fox and CBS Television Studios, poured their hearts and souls into this truly inventive and nostalgic revival.”

The quasi-revival series had been labeled as a six-episode event series with plans to possibly bring it back for a few more seasons if it proved to be successful for the network. Featuring most of the original cast from the 90s series, the series saw the stars play semi-fictional versions of themselves and following their lives since the initial show ended, as they reconciled their complicated histories, dealt with personal dramas and tried to get a reboot of the series underway. But, according to Deadline, "BH90210" suffered from declining ratings this past summer, despite a strong premiere, which led to the decision not to continue with it.

Expectations were high for the show since its inception, with fans getting excited to see most of the cast back together. However, the announcement was later fraught with drama as production issues and behind-the0scenes drama led to delays. It was previously reported that the show had to go through a change with its writing staff and the show-runners, and at one point, it seemed unlikely the show would be able to air with the targeted premiere date of August 7.

In what is now the series finale, things ended with the show within a show getting picked up by the network, but the execs had some drastic changes in mind for the reboot. In addition, things were also still open-ended when it came to various cast members' personal issues.

Cast members Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, Jason Priestley, and Gabrielle Carteris along with CBS Television Studios produced the show. The idea for the series came from Spelling and Garth, along with showrunners Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler.
