Billie Eilish was so obsessed with Justin Bieber when she was younger that her parents considered putting her in therapy.

Eilish is very popular today and she even has a huge fan base. However, when she was younger, she was among those people fangirling over Bieber.

On Tuesday, Eilish’s mom, Maggie Baird, appeared on her Apple Music show “me & dad radio.” The program features Eilish and her dad, Patrick O’Connell, as they share music and stories about their lives.

During Baird’s guesting, she revealed that her daughter was very obsessed with Bieber when she was only 12 years old. In fact, Baird and O’Connell considered putting her in therapy at the time.

Baird shared that Eilish would play Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me” song and sob. According to the 61-year-old actress, there was a time when she was “driving to the dance studio with Billie, playing this song, sobbing, and then driving back and sobbing.”

“And the video, and Billie talking about it, and being excited it was coming out, and just crying and crying . . . I just want to say, we did consider taking you to therapy because you were in so much pain over Justin Bieber,” Baird explained, as quoted by the New York Post.

It however turned out that Eilish wasn't crying because of Bieber's music. The singer spoke about her adolescent years on the show and admitted that there was a point in her life when she cried every day.

“There was a period where I cried every single day of my life, when I was like 13, 14, 15,” the Grammy-winning musician said. “Every single day I cried. And 17, 18 I cried barely at all. I’m proud to say I barely cry anymore and it’s one thing I’ve overcome.”

Eilish made it clear that it’s not wrong to cry, but she got over it because she is happier in her life now.

“This is a big deal. Not that it’s wrong to cry, but it’s a good thing I feel happier in my life and I don’t want to cry anymore,” she added.

Meanwhile, Eilish is a big supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. In one post on Instagram, she tackled “white privilege” and why “all lives matter” should not be used to contest the “black lives matter” movement.

She also reacted to Rayshard Brooks’ death. She shared a photo of Brooks on social media and expressed her anger over his demise.
