Ever since Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert split, the "Sangria" singer has been showing off a much thinner frame. Opening up about his weight loss in an interview on Wednesday, Shelton revealed his skinnier physique is the result of what he calls the "divorce diet."

When radio host Blair Garner, of "America's Morning Show," asked Shelton what he was doing to slim down, the singer suggested, "Well, you should try the divorce diet."

He added, "I just think, not the actual breakup part, just the whole stress of getting through all of that, it’s just weird. I’m not eating as many fried pickles and stuff.”

While "The Voice" coach has been turning away from fried foods in wake of his divorce, Lambert jokingly told a crowd in July before a concert that she was coping with the split by "living off caffeine and sad songs." The 31-year-old singer also switched up her look by dyeing her hair a platinum blonde.

Even though Lambert and Shelton, who’s been romantically linked to his newly divorced “Voice” co-star Gwen Stefani, have both moved on following their split, the former couple is determined to remain friendly. Speaking to "Bobby Bones Show" on Wednesday Shelton admitted that his divorce from Lambert happened fast, but said the two were still good "buddies."

"In Oklahoma, it happens so fast. Like, Miranda and I didn’t have any kids, and we had a prenuptial agreement, whatever we had. Once we filed for divorce, it was over in, like, I think it was like a nine or 10-day waiting period until it’s over," Shelton said. "Our whole thing was, we are going to be cool about this. It is what it is.”
