“Blindspot” may have been renewed by NBC for Season 3, but this does not mean the show won’t undergo some changes.

The network released their schedule for 2017-2018, and it has been confirmed that the Jaimie Alexander-starrer has been moved from Wednesday to Friday. “Blindspot” Season 3 will still air at 8 p.m., just like in Season 2. But this wasn’t the case in Season 1 when the series aired at 10 p.m.

As of late, it is still unclear how many episodes “Blindspot” Season 3 will have. But the show’s renewal came as a shock to some fans who though that it will be canceled after only two seasons. The series didn’t garner high ratings throughout Season 2, and TV Series Finale reported that the May 17 finale only gave the show a 0.86 demo rating and 4.2 million viewers.

Meanwhile, there are some rumors that “Blindspot” Season 3 could be the last for the series if the ratings per episode won’t improve. Just Jared noted that shows that are moved to Fridays are in danger of being canceled. A similar thing happened to “The Vampire Diaries,” which ended after seven seasons.

But before “Blindspot” gets canceled, executive producer Martin Gero first shared his plans for Season 3. While speaking with Collider, Gero confirmed that Season 3 will serve as a “soft reboot.” “Our show runs on secrets. All of these reveals are incredibly important to the show, and we realized, very early on, even in the first season, that by the end of Season 2, we were gonna know an awful lot about those characters, in a way that having some sort of massive reveal come out of nowhere might feel a little artificial,” he said.

Gero also dished on what role Jane Doe’s (Alexander) tattoos would play in the upcoming episodes. According to him, the marks on the lead character’s body will be tackled like in Season 1. Additionally, Jane and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) shippers would be pleased to know that even if there is a reset, Jane and Kurt’s relationship won’t start from scratch again. “All of our Jeller fans will be very satiated with the first episode back,” he said.
