The New Year will be getting a later start for fans of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” as the CBS soap will be taking some time off in honor of the holiday.

In honor of the New Year’s holidays, CBS has changed their plans for airing new episodes of the half-hour soap. According to the schedule, the network will air repeat episodes of the soap on both Monday, Dec. 31 and Tuesday, Jan. 1. On Monday, the repeat episode will be followed by the 2018 Hyundai Sun Bowl, featuring the Stanford Cardinals and Pittsburgh Panthers.

However, the show will pick up again with new episodes beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 2, and it won’t take long for things to quickly begin seeming out of control for the characters who will be faced with a very big dilemma.

Previously on the soap, Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) plans for a babymoon on Catalina Island were derailed first by his daughter Kelly having a fever, and then by strong winds which grounded him in Los Angeles—while Hope waited for him in Catalina.

However, things took an unexpected turn when Hope went into labor—and now she’s alone with no one to help her as she prepares for the biggest challenge of her life.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
