Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are not planning a “honeymoon in Italy,” despite rumors. Gossip Cop debunked reports that stated the ex-spouses were reunited and were planning a romantic gateway in Italy.

According to In Touch magazine, the duo recently had a “backyard commitment ceremony” in front of their parents, Pitt’s six children and close friends. An insider told the magazine the two were planning to legally wed once both of them were officially divorced. “They just couldn’t wait any longer” to exchange vows, the source added.

The insider said the pair will soon be going on a two-week vacation to Italy, and will be staying at George Clooney’s Lake Como estate.

According to the magazine, Aniston came up with the thought of going on a vacation to the European country as she fell in love with the place while filming the Netflix movie “Murder Mystery” with Adam Sandler.

“She would excitedly text and FaceTime Brad while she was making the movie and he was in LA, telling him about each beautiful place she encountered,” the alleged insider told the magazine.

After staying at Clooney’s place, “Brad and Jen will be visiting Portofino and other spots on the Italian Riviera, along with the beach in Sardinia,” the insider continued. He further claimed yacht trips and candlelit dinners were also on the itinerary.

“Jen and Brad vowed that this would be as intimate a honeymoon as possible,” the source said, adding the two will start having a family soon. “Having a baby will be another in a series of dreams come true for Jen.”

The report, however, was a work of fiction. Aniston is still in Italy shooting for the Netflix movie and spent most of the summer in the European country. The actress has not visited LA in months and since the magazine failed to mention when the supposed “backyard ceremony” with Pitt occurred, it can be termed false.

Moreover, spokespersons for both parties repeatedly denied the two were back together in any capacity.

In February, People reported the two haven’t seen each other in ages.

“For well over a decade now they have lived totally separate lives and so not surprisingly, they have become totally different people than who they once were when they were together,” a source said. “They broke up, and they did it because they had serious issues. They’re not stupid. They remember why it didn’t work. They’ve been over each other for longer than they were ever together. It is such ancient history.”

Entertainment Tonight too reported a similar story stating Pitt was choosing fatherhood over dating.

"Brad was taking time to date, when he had the time. He also enjoyed quietly dating. But now all he wants to do is focus on family. He has taken a step away from dating because of the importance of his children and also to help mend fences with Angelina,” a source said.

"[He and Angelina] still don't get along at all, and in fact, they can barely be in the same room. Brad doesn't want to rock the boat [by dating]. He wants to try to co-parent and the last thing he needs right now is to start another war because things seem smoother than they've ever been.”
