Queen Elizabeth II made her first public reappearance Wednesday after a health scare that led to a night in the hospital.

The queen’s public engagement comes after she missed Britain’s Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph war memorial in London on Sunday due to a back injury reportedly unrelated to her health scare.

The 95-year-old monarch recovered in time to receive Nick Carter, chief of the defense staff and Britain’s professional head of the armed forces, who is set to step down from the role at the end of November.

They met at the Queen’s Windsor Castle. Carter met Queen Elizabeth, who was dressed in an orange, green and white floral dress.

"Her Majesty received General Sir Nicholas Carter at Windsor Castle today upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief of the Defence Staff," the Buckingham Palace said.

The queen last appeared at a public event on Oct. 19 at a reception for billionaire business leaders at Windsor, Reuters noted.

Since then, she appeared at a virtual awarding of a medal for poetry to British poet and translator David Constantine via video link. She also delivered a COP26 video message since she had to cancel her summit appearance following doctors’ advice to rest and refrain from doing official visits for two weeks.
