BTS’ summer-themed track “Butter” has become the group’s 10th music video to surpass over 700 million views on YouTube.

“Butter,” Billboard’s 2021 song of the summer, reached the milestone Wednesday and joined nine other BTS hits that reached the milestone on YouTube. These include “Fire,” “Idol,” “Fake Love,” “DNA,” and the group’s first all-English track, “Dynamite,” among others.

“Butter” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 in June last year and stayed in the chart for seven consecutive weeks.

Upon its release on May 21, 2021, the track quickly set new Guinness world records beginning with the most number of viewers for the premiere of a video on YouTube with 3.9 million concurrent users. It also broke the record for the most viewers for the premiere of a music video on YouTube.

The track again broke the record for the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours with over 108 million views. It also became the most-viewed YouTube video by a K-pop group within the first 24 hours.

Meanwhile, BTS’ youngest member, Jungkook debuted on Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist with “Stay Alive,” a track composed by rapper Suga for the urban fantasy webcomic, “7Fates: CHAKHO.”

“Stay Alive” entered the Hot 100 at No. 95. It also took the No. 8 slot on Billboard’s Global 200 (Excl. US) chart and is the first song by a Korean male soloist to ever enter the top 10.

Before this, the track also scored the biggest debut day on Spotify on Feb. 11 with a total of 4.2 million streams and the biggest debut week at 18.8 million plays.

The septet is set to perform in a four-day concert at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 8, 9, 15 and 16. Aside from “Butter” and “Dynamite,” the boy band will reprise its well-applauded numbers from its concerts in L.A. last year for the “Permission to Dance on Stage” in Las Vegas.

Last year, BTS mounted four sold-out performances in Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, which marked the group’s first live concert with an actual audience since the pandemic began.
