Ever since the winners of the 63rd Grammy Awards were announced, BTS fans have been furious and dejected the band did not take home any awards. On Sunday, the band members held a surprise live streaming session to console the fans.

During the session on the VLive app, BTS comforted the fans and asked them not to be disappointed about the band not winning the Grammy for "Dynamite," which was nominated in the "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance" category.

Instead, the members thanked the army for their endless love and support, and explained why the group was unable to receive an award this year. In the video, a banner that read "Thanks Army" with a red heart was placed in the background, and a cake that read "2021 Grammy Nominee Artist" was placed on the table.

BTS’ leader RM expressed the members didn’t want fans to consider it a loss as they’ve moved one step closer by successfully receiving their first-ever Grammy nomination and also by performing on the Grammy stage as a solo act for the first time.

"The reason we weren't able to win is, I think many of you probably expect this, but we took it as them telling us to come and get the award in person,” RM said.

"I saw a lot of articles saying we 'failed' to get the award, but I don't think it's a fail since we were able to perform for the first time as nominees. I don't think it's a failure but let's look at the positive side; we were nominated for the first time and did our first solo performance,” RM further added, according to Allkpop.

The seven members also congratulated the army for all the remarkable achievements and milestones BTS has reached so far.

Over 7.8 million viewers tuned into the 18-minute Vlive. Following this, the fans took to Twitter to trend keywords including "#BTSOurGreatestPrize," "#SetTheNightAlightBTS," "#NextTime," "#LightItUpBTS" and more as they continued to express their support to the band.

Meanwhile, Suga also took to Twitter to pose a selfie with the caption "Next Time For Sure!"
