BTS member Jungkook is getting a special prize after breaking the all-time record of highest votes on the fan voting platform FanPlus.

Jungkook, who will turn 25 this September, was nominated for the September Birthday Voting on FanPlus, where he battled against other South Korean pop stars, including Chen from Exo and Han from Stray Kids, Allkpop reported.

The "Yet To Come" singer won the birthday voting after garnering a staggering 3.8 billion votes from fans, the highest number of votes recorded in FanPlus history. The previous record was 2.5 billion. Jungkook now ranks No. 1 on the platform's Hall of Fame for highest votes, according to the outlet.

As a reward for winning the poll, the 24-year-old crooner will receive a huge LED billboard advertisement that will appear in New York City's Times Square for seven days. In addition, Jungkook will also receive large-scale lighting advertisements in Seoul, South Korea, subway stations, and CM board lighting advertisements for a month.

A Jungkook fan account shared the news of his victory via Twitter, thanking all the fans who took part in the voting.

"Jungkook has won his first ever FanPlus birthday poll by breaking all previous records with the highest number of votes (3.8 billion). He will get a [seven]-day ad on New York's Times Square," the tweet read. "You guys are incredible! Thank [you] so much for voting with us."

Fans and social media users from across the globe celebrated the win and expressed their excitement over Jungkook's upcoming birthday.

One user wrote, "Congratulations Jeon Jungkook, you deserve this so much. I wish you the happiest of birthdays."

"Congratulations my love and thank you to all the voters. Let's get that final awards too for our Jungkook," another commented.

In 2021, Jungkook's fellow BTS member Park Jimin was crowned "idol of the year" on the voting platform after winning the FanPlus Final Awards despite the tough competition against other K-pop idols. He accumulated a total of 3.1 billion votes between November and December of 2021.

To celebrate the 26-year-old vocalist's victory, fans donated to UNICEF under Jimin's name to help aid vulnerable children and their families.

Prior to this, BTS fans also donated to the organization under the singer's name after he won favorite TikTok moment of the year at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards with his "Permission to Dance" video.

Jungkook, Jimin and the rest of BTS are currently pursuing solo projects. In June, Jungkook surprised fans with a new track, titled "My You," as part of the band's ninth anniversary celebration on June 13.
