BTS members Jungkook and Taehyung have an emotional, heartfelt conversation in the 6th episode of the band’s latest reality show titled "In The Soop."

The episode, which was released Thursday on Weverse, had fans sobbing as Taehyung, popularly known as V, and Jungkook rekindled their friendship in a heart-to-heart conversation.

V, who wanted to spend some time with Jungkook took the effort to set up food, drinks and a campfire under a tarp so that the two of them could sit down and have a genuine conversation. However, the singer asked Jimin to help him bring Jungkook over to the tarp as he was too shy to approach the golden maknae directly, Koreaboo reported.

After being lured to the tarp and sharing an awkward greeting, Jungkook asked V about the reason behind why the two were suddenly having a drink while snacking on jamon together.

"It's nothing special. You called me before, saying that you wanted to have a drink with me. Remember that? Now that I think about it, I don’t think I had a proper drink with you," explained V.

"Even when we were trainees, we always got scolded together," said Jungkook while reminiscing about their days as trainees.

"In a way, we’re partners in crime," said V while adding that the two shared a special bond in the past.

"I was surprised. He was the easiest person to talk to before but as we started spending time on our own, there was a side of things that started to feel a bit awkward with V. He used to joke around all the time, but he's more reserved now. When he approached me first, we sorted a lot of that out," Jungkook said while talking about his relationship with V. "I'm glad that he planned this time together. After that, although things aren't exactly the way they were when we were younger, it still felt like some things have gone back to the way they used to be."

During their conversation, Jungkook confessed that V helped him grow out of his comfort zone during their trainee period.

"In fact, a huge part of me changed because of you when I was a trainee. I changed after you came," he said.

The two of them agreed that they had similar personalities and interests in the past. When he asked the older member about what’s been on his mind, V added that he was scared about not receiving love from fans due to the lockdown.

"Ever since our 'On' promotion, since we couldn’t see the ARMY from the stage, I couldn’t feel certain that I was someone who was receiving love. It’s something so trivial but it really got to me," V said while explaining that he’d been spending a lot of time on Weverse to gain assurance from their fans.

Jungkook tried to help the 24-year-old overcome his insecurities by advising him to show their fans how much he’s changed over the years. They also talked about how things might have turned out differently if they had gotten to hang out a lot more.

Jungkook and V continued to chat away as they bridged the gap between them and also raised a toast to their fans.
