The official Twitter accounts of the Royal Family and Clarence House shared beautiful photos of the London snow on Tuesday.

The first photo revealed the snow-covered the garden of Clarence House where Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles are residing in. Followers of the account could not help but comment on how beautiful the image is. Another fan noticed that there is both snow and flowers in the picture.

The picture posted on the Royal Family’s Twitter account shows an entire path from the West Terrace of the Buckingham Palace covered with thick snow. It was confirmed that this is where Queen Elizabeth II will greet her guests during the upcoming Garden Parties.

One follower said that the Buckingham Palace looks beautiful in the snow. Another follower said that the photo is picturesque.

But as beautiful as the snow was on Tuesday, the freezing conditions have caused serious travel disruptions among students and employees. According to The Telegraph, dozens of schools in Scotland will remain closed on Wednesday. Snow in the North East and Scotland is expected to last until 6 p.m. on Thursday.

In Newcastle, approximately 500 homes lost access to electricity due to the sudden change in weather.

George Maratty, the Northumbria Police superintendent, said, “The temperatures are very cold due to the adverse weather and a large number of residents have been left without power and therefore no central heating. Not only is this very uncomfortable, but it can actually be very dangerous for any vulnerable residents who may be elderly or live alone.”

Meanwhile, the members of the royal family are expected to keep warm in the comfort of the Buckingham Palace, in Sandringham, and more. But Kate Middleton was spotted outdoors on her way to the launch of Nursing Now campaign.

The successful event happened indoors, and Middleton thanked all of the nurses everywhere during her speech. “I would like to congratulate and thank all nurses everywhere on what you achieve on a daily basis. The difference you make should go unrecognized,” she said.
