Camilla Parker Bowles’ grandchild was previously rushed to a hospital in an air ambulance and the Duchess of Cornwall finally got the chance to give the emergency team a quick shout-out.

While speaking at the opening of Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s new airbase near Chippenham, Camilla revealed that her grandchild Eliza was rushed to the hospital last year. Eliza was joined by her mom Laura during the trip.

“Even in Yorkshire my granddaughter was taken off in the Yorkshire one, one year, and luckily she was sorted and alright, but it gave my daughter such confidence to be aboard it,” she said.

Prince Charles’ wife also said her biggest thank you to those who are involved with the project and for their fantastic work. She added that she knows friends who have also been saved because of the emergency team’s exemplary service.

In related news, Camilla made headlines this week after it was reported that she was once branded inappropriate when she was confirmed to attend the benefit concert thrown in memory of the late Princess Diana in 2007.

The book “Making of a Royal Romance” by Katie Nicholl claimed that royal fans were not happy to hear that Camilla would be attending the service for the late Princess of Wales because her affair with Prince Charles ended Princess Diana’s marriage to the future King.

Camilla herself had misgivings on whether or not she would attend the memorial service, but it was Prince Charles who insisted that she should be there. Princess Diana’s friend, Rosa Monckton, opened up about the situation.

“I know such services should be an occasion for forgiveness, but I can’t help feeling Camilla’s attendance is deeply inappropriate,” she told Daily Mail.

Prince William and Prince Harry also wanted Camilla to be at the memorial service, but the public’s reaction left the Duchess of Cornwall in tears. According to Nicholl, Camilla and Prince Charles got into an argument daily on whether or not she should attend until the day of the memorial came.

In the end, Queen Elizabeth II gave Camilla her blessing to not attend the event.
