How is Camilla Parker-Bowles and Queen Elizabeth II’s relationship actually like amid claims that the duchess attacked the Queen in a brawl last month? Prince Charles' wife and the monarch seem to be getting along great nowadays.

Globe recently published a report claiming that an angry and drunk Duchess of Cornwall threw a glass of wine at Her Majesty’s face. Then, Camilla allegedly grabbed the Queen by the throat, ripping away a priceless pearl necklace that once belonged to Queen Victoria.

The report also claimed that the brawl that reportedly happened last month only ended when Prince Andrew pinned Prince Charles’ second wife to the floor and the bodyguards rushed in with guns drawn. The so-called royal aide claimed that Camilla will be confined to her quarters and will only be allowed out for a few events as she will be carefully monitored and controlled. But Gossip Cop has debunked the report and pointed out the story's inconsistencies and false claims.

But what is the Queen and Camilla's relationship actually like in real life? According to Marcia Moody, Queen Elizabeth II and Camilla had a warm relationship when she was younger. In fact, her first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, was the Queen Mother’s godson. The then-couple had often been guests at Buckingham Palace.

However, the Queen reportedly wasn’t happy when she learned about Prince Charles and Camilla’s affair. Tom Bower claimed in his book, “Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles,” that Her Majesty didn’t support their affair and did not want to see Camilla in any royal function after learning about it. Queen Elizabeth II reportedly actively disapproved of Camilla by that time.

However, things have since changed. Queen Elizabeth II reportedly saw how Camilla supported Prince Charles and appreciates it. The Queen even recognized Camilla during her speech for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday back in November.

Queen Elizabeth II mentioned how Camilla helped Prince Charles become “his own man.” “Most of all, sustained by his wife Camilla, he is his own man, passionate and creative,” the Queen said.

In addition, Camilla has been recognized by the palace and even overtakes Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle in the Queen’s pecking order. The Duchess of Cornwall has worked hard in the background to prove her commitment to the royal family, and everything seemed to have paid off when she was given the honor to stand with the Queen and Prince Charles during the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance.
