Last season, Netflix’ "Castlevania" series left off on a disturbing note. With the death of Dracula, there’s no telling how Alucard’s life — or half-life — will go on. Trevor decided to go on a trip with Sypha, while Carmilla has Hector in her possession. Isaac is left wandering the desert of his childhood and he is also trying to build up an army of his own.

According to IGN, the series' third season shows there’s still plenty to watch out for in "Castlevania." Dracula, the one and true Dark Lord, is gone, but his war is far from over. Carmilla will get help from her “sisters” Lenore, Morana and Striga, while there are newcomers into the scene whom Trevor and Sypha will meet.

James Callis, Richard Armitage, Alejandra Reynoso Agueda, Jaime Murray, Theo James and Adetokumboh M’Cormack reprised their roles as Alucard, Trevor, Sypha, Carmilla, Hector and Isaac, respectively. Joining them are Jessica Brown Findlay, Yasmine Al Massri and Ivana Milicevic as the vampire sisters of Carmilla.

Bill Nighy and Jason Isaacs are also lending their voices to characters in the series, along with Navid Negahban, Toru Uchikado, and Rila Fukushima.

Season 2 left off with the stories and backgrounds laid down for the heroes and why they’re doing what they do. It also told how Dracula’s war on humanity defined Alucard’s existence. Now, there are plenty of opportunities to expand on what the first two seasons have brought. On the other hand, Season 3 has a lot of new things in store: new relationships, new characters to explore and a lot more growing up before another war, courtesy of Carmilla.

The official synopsis for this season, courtesy of Gamespot, focuses on how Trevor is no longer really alone, despite being the last of the Belmonts. Dracula’s war on humanity has bought about new challenges for the humans — and their heroes — to face.

The latest season of "Castlevania" has 10 episodes for the fans of the series to relish. Sam Deats returns to direct the show, along with writer/executive producer Warren Ellis.
