Luo Yutong and Qin Kai helped lead China to yet another top finish as the duo claimed gold on Wednesday in men's synchronized 3-meter springboard.

Luo and Qin finished with 477.00 points to keep China on track for a sweep of the Olympic diving events.

Team Russia, with divers Ilya Zakharov and Evgeny Kuznetsoz, took silver in the event and ended up with 459.63 points.

Divers Troy Dumais and Kristian Ipsen led the U.S. to a bronze medal with a score of 446.70 points. After a 12-year medal drought in the sport, the decision by the U.S. to focus on the synchronized events has officially paid off. They have won three medals in four events in London, and the diving events are only halfway done.

Chris Mears and Nicholas Robinson-Baker of Great Britain finished in fifth place. The duo finished with a score of 432.60.

China has won recent gold medals in the men's 10-meter platform, and women's 10-meter and 3-meter synchronized diving events.

The U.S. and China continue to battle as medal count leaders, while France is currently third.
