The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has seen a plethora of filmmakers trying their hands in the superhero genre. From Joe and Anthony Russo to Jon Favreau, every director has given some of their special touches to the movies that were helmed by them. One of the directors who made a staggering entry into the MCU was none other than Taika Waititi.

Waititi helmed the third installment of the “Thor” franchise, “Thor: Ragnarok.” The film had an amazing balance of lightning-fast action sequences and comic punches. Chris Hemsworth, who portrays Thor, recently revealed that playing a character again and again can be tiring, but Waititi’s entry in the third movie made him feel excited about the character again.

In an interview with GQ, the 36-year-old actor revealed that the “Jojo Rabbit” helmer is “insanely” fun and has a lot of “child-like” energy in him. He later admitted that Waititi has all the “knowledge” to lead a movie or an actor through the process.

“He is insanely fun. But do not mistake that child-like, frantic energy for someone who is not prepared. That is quite a unique combination, that he has the ability to, through humor, put you at ease, but is also armed with all the knowledge that a director needs to lead you through the process,” Hemsworth said.

The “Extraction” star further stated that he always wanted his character to be more humorous and Waititi gave him a chance to show off his comedic skills.

“And it came at a time when I desperately wanted there to be more humor to the character,” Hemsworth said.

The Academy Award-winning filmmaker will be teaming up with Hemsworth once again for “Thor: Love And Thunder.” Talking about the film, Waititi revealed that the pandemic has given him the much-needed time to work on the script.

“There are a few positive things I can take away. One of them is that a lot of these films, and films in general, are rushed or you don't have as much time as you would want to have on the script and things like that. We are still writing 'Love and Thunder' and I think it's good to just keep writing and then you know, we will have a really, really good script,” Waititi said.

The plot of the upcoming film is currently being kept under wraps. The story will be significant because the film will mark Jane Foster’s (Natalie Portman) transition into the next God of Thunder.

On the other hand, Christian Bale will play the villain in the upcoming movie.
