  • A rep for Pine slammed the rumor that Styles spit on his co-star during the "Don't Worry Darling" premiere

Chris Pine's reaction to "Don't Worry Darling" co-star Harry Styles talking about their new film in an interview has become a viral meme.

A clip from a recent joint interview of Pine, 42, and Styles, 28, has been making the rounds online, and it shows the "Wonder Woman" actor seemingly spaced out while his co-star answered a reporter's question, Page Six reported.

In the clip, Pine can be seen staring at the ground with a blank expression as Styles said, "I think, you know, my favorite thing about the movie is that it feels like a... movie."

"You know, it feels like a real, like, go-to-the-theater-film movie. You know, the reason why you would go to watch something on the big screen," the singer continued.

Twitter users made hilarious comments about the interview, with many suggesting that Pine was "disassociating" while Styles was speaking.

"You can almost see the screams catching in his throat," one joked.

"Chris Pine looking like a white suburban mom the morning after a wine-night crying jag. De-puff and disassociate," writer Nichole tweeted.

"I understand you, Chris Pine. I too want to disassociate from what's happening around me," another added.

"I've been a diehard Chris Pine fan for nearly 20 years now so I consider myself something of an expert, and I can confidently say he is reconsidering all his life choices here... literally dissociating from his surroundings," a fan of Pine wrote.

A different user jokingly compared Pine to Woody Harrelson's "Hunger Games" character Haymitch Abernathy, tweeting that Pine looks like "he's about to unwillingly train some tributes for the 74th Hunger Games."

Another suggested that Pine was "going through his Joker moment" during the interview with Styles.

According to Better Health, disassociation is "a mental process of disconnecting from one's thoughts, feelings, memories or sense of identity." It is often linked to individuals who have experienced trauma.

Another video of Styles and Pine went viral Monday. Fans speculated that Styles spit on Pine's lap in footage from the "Don't Worry Darling" premiere in Venice, Italy.

Pine has since denied the rumor.

"This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation," Pine's rep said in a statement to People.

The rep continued, "Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist."

Style's rep has not commented on the speculation, according to Page Six.

"Don't Worry Darling" hits theaters on Sept. 23.
