KEY POINTS

  • Florence Pugh will not join the press conference for "Don't Worry Darling" at Venice Film Festival because she will not land until after the event
  • Another source claimed it has always been the plan for her to arrive at the event after the press conference
  • Pugh will join her co-stars on the red carpet for the "Don't Worry Darling" premiere at the film festival

Florence Pugh will reportedly skip the press conference but walk the red carpet for "Don't Worry Darling" at the Venice Film Festival.

Pugh will not be able to join her co-star Harry Styles and director Olivia Wilde for the press conference of "Don't Worry Darling." Her flight to Venice from the "Dune: Part Two" set will reportedly arrive after the interview, an anonymous source told People. However, she will still walk the red carpet for the event.

Another source claimed that it has always been the plan. However, it reportedly just came to light.

Her absence at the press conference only fueled the rumors that she's on bad terms with Wilde. Wilde previously denied the rumors that there was bad blood between them. She told Variety that "tabloid media is a tool to pit women against one another and to shame them."

"There has been a lot out there that I largely don't pay attention to. But the absurdity of invented clickbait and subsequent reaction regarding a nonexistent pay disparity between our lead and supporting actors really upset me," Styles' girlfriend said about the report of her and Pugh having a falling-out. "I'm a woman who has been in this business for over 20 years, and it's something that I have fought for myself and others, especially being a director. There is absolutely no validity to those claims."

The rumors about Wilde and Pugh feuding started when the netizens noticed that the latter didn't promote the erotic thriller she worked on with Styles and Wilde. She didn't like the trailers and didn't share them on her social media account.

An anonymous source spoke with Page Six and claimed that Wilde's affair with the former One Direction singer, while she was with Jason Sudeikis, caused the issue. Pugh was reportedly not fine with Wilde and Style's relationship, which allegedly began shortly after they started filming.

"I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason when she first hooked up with Harry," one insider claimed.

"Jason and the kids visited Olivia on set at the beginning a few times, so I think this all made people feel a little uncomfortable," the source added.

"Don't Worry Darling" premieres Sept. 23.
