Chris Pratt has apologized to UFC Fighter Israel Adesanya for predicting that his opponent, mixed martial artist Jared Cannonier, will win when they face off at UFC 2022. However, it was Adesanya who won the match over the weekend.

Adesanya took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a video from the 2008 movie "Wanted" where actor James McAvoy slaps Pratt's face with a keyboard. Alongside the 14 seconds clip, the UFC Fighter wrote, "Good morning. I'm the man. You're just some fan."

In response, Pratt wrote, "You're right. I'm sorry brutha. It bugs me when people criticize my work- having never themselves risked anything. It makes me a hypocrite to do exactly that to you. My bad. Keep on keeping on champ."

Many people shared their reactions following the apology.

"The criticism you gave was entirely fair and valid. Izzy even said himself that he had an off night," one person wrote. "I don't know why he's being insecure and coming after an actor lmao."

Another person added, "Yes but you take chances on certain roles, scenes and productions. You know you are elite but still take various roles to expand your range. Izzy played it safe exactly how you saw it the first time Chris."

Ahead of the fight, Pratt shared that he was supporting Cannonier.

"I'm gonna say this as humbly as I can, as a guy who never stepped in the Octagon. I don't know this game, I'm just an actor. But I'm not a fan, man," Pratt said about Adesanya before the match.

On the work front, the 43-year-old actor was recently featured in Marvel's highly anticipated movie "Thor: Love and Thunder." He also worked in the TV series "The Terminal List" and played James Reece's character.

His upcoming projects include "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special," an untitled Super Mario project, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," "The Electric State" and "Cowboy Ninja Viking."

He will also lend his voice for an animated movie, "Garfield." He will voice the lead character in the film.
