“It’s A Wonderful Lifetime” continues to ring in the holidays with its most ambitious premiere yet, “The Christmas Setup.” The film, the network’s first to feature two men in the leading roles, stars real-life husbands, Ben Lewis and Blake Lee.

The film is not only a treat for fans because they will be seeing two spouses in the lead roles, but because this will be the first time either has been in a Lifetime Christmas movie either. Lewis is best known for his roles as William Clayton on “Arrow,” Chad in “The High note” and Josh in “Chasing Life,” while Lee is best recognized as Ben on “Fam,” Josh Novak on “The Wisdom of the Crowd” and Derek on “Parks and Recreation.”

The two will also be joined in the film by some other exciting additions as well. Fran Drescher, best known as Fran on “The Nanny,” but also recognizable as Debbie in “Indebted” and the voice of Eunice in the “Hotel Transylvania” films in recent years, also has starring credit in the film. Ellen Wong (“GLOW,” “Dark Matter,” “The Carrie Diaries”) and Chad Connell (“A Cheerful Christmas,” “Double Holiday,” “Christmas at Grand Valley”) round out the cast.

So what will happen in this ground-breaking project? According to a synopsis, when New York-based lawyer Hugo (Lewis) heads home to Milwaukee for the holidays with his best friend Madelyn (Wong), his life could change thanks to his mother, Kate (Drescher).

“Ever the matchmaker, Kate arranges for Hugo to run into Patrick (Lee), Hugo’s high school friend and secret crush, who has recently returned after a successful stint in Silicon Valley,” the synopsis reads. “As they enjoy the local holiday festivities together, Hugo and Patrick’s attraction to each other is undeniable and it looks as though Kate’s Santa-style matchmaking is a success.”

However, Hugo then is forced to make a big decision after he gets news from the life he has built.

“But as Hugo receives word of a big promotion requiring a move to London, he must decide what is most important to him,” the synopsis concludes.

Will Hugo choose love over his career?

“The Christmas Setup” premieres Saturday, Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
