A Mexican restaurant in Alabama took to Facebook on Monday after a customer left a racist note on the receipt.

The incident took place at Charrito’s Bar & Grill in Huntsville on Saturday. Instead of leaving a tip, the customer left a racist note for the staff on the receipt.

The note said, “Brown c----. Trump will f--- you all.”

CBS-affiliated television station WHNT-TV reported the man's visit seemed normal till the waitress asked if would pay the bill by cash or card. The diner allegedly responded by saying, "Do white people ever use cash?"

The restaurant owner, Vanessa Martinez, took to Facebook to say such comments were not acceptable.

She started the statement by saying, “We are a local family owned and operated business, our employees and most of our customers are like family. They have been with us in the good and in the bad times. We don't care about your political background, your race or what gender you prefer, ALL ARE WELCOME!!! We treat each customer with respect and we welcome everyone with open arms and a smile.”

“Last night it was brought to our attention, from another customer, that a customer out of nowhere left this rude and awful message to staff and customers that were sitting in the bar area. We would like to let everyone know that this behavior is not tolerated in our restaurant. Our staff and any customers in our facility require respect,” she added.

She concluded by thanking others for the love.

Speaking to WHNT-TV, she said this was the first time something like this was happening at the restaurant. "Our post was not intended to be politically out there or what not. Everybody has their own opinions. We just want people who are coming into the restaurant to be peaceful and mindful of other people,” she said.

In a similar incident of racism at a restaurant, a Filipino-American Air Force veteran accused a California Starbucks barista of racism in December. The restaurant allegedly changed his name on the order based on his looks. Johncarl Festejo said he went to the barista before dropping his child at school. When asked by the staff, he said his name was John. However, when his order was ready, the staff called out his name as “Chang.” He then contacted the Starbucks corporate office and reported the incident.

Starbucks issued a statement saying, "At Starbucks, we take great pride in providing a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who enters our stores and expect our partners to uphold our values and follow through on our commitment. We have a zero-tolerance stance on discrimination of any kind, and the experience in question was not reflective of our mission and values. We have reached out to the customer and shared our deep regret for their experience, are conducting an investigation into the matter and will take the appropriate actions.”
