Despite the coronavirus pandemic, “Cyberpunk 2077” is well on track to make its September release date.

In its financial report for investors, CD Projekt confirmed that their timeline for their highly anticipated role-playing game hasn’t been affected by the pandemic. To recall, the team has been forced to work from home due to the infectious coronavirus, raising concerns that “Cyberpunk 20177” may be delayed for the second time.

Moreover, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinski emphasized that the whole team behind the game is highly motivated to meet their target release date.

“Since mid-March we have been working from home, while ensuring continuity of all our of operations. Our goals haven’t changed; first and foremost, we intend to release Cyberpunk 2077 in September,” Kicinski wrote in the report.

“We feel motivated and have the necessary tools at our disposal to meet this goal. We also believe that our longstanding strategy of avoiding debt and accumulating cash reserves makes us well prepared to meet any hardships which may be in store during these troubled times.”

Raising further hopes that the game will be released in September, CD Projekt’s head of Studio Adam Badowski tweeted on Thursday (April 9) that the game “has already been rated by the vast majority of rating boards around the world.”

This development means that the content of “Cyberpunk 2077” is complete, and it is likely they are only fixing technical issues and there are no major changes that need to be done in the game.

Moreover, with the game seemingly in its final stage before its release, fans can expect more details to drop in the next few weeks or months.

Just recently, CD Projekt unveiled a new gang called “The Mox” that has been made for the game. In a separate tweet, the company’s global community lead Marcin Momot teased that the said reveal is just the first of a series of updates that is coming as the release date nears.

“Cyberpunk 2077” was initially scheduled for an April 2020 release before it was moved to September 17, 2020. Fortunately, it looks like there will be no further delays this time.

The game is set to be playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia.
