The next season of “Dance Moms” has yet to premiere, but that hasn’t stopped the cast from engaging in behind-the-scenes drama. Following the recent release of the new installment’s trailer ahead of the Season 5 premiere Jan. 6, the Lifetime reality-TV series’ former stars, Christi Lukasiak and Kelly Hyland, are denying claims shared by the network's stars that they have plans to “destroy” coach Abby Lee Miller.

“Christi and Kelly have this plan to destroy the ALDC,” “Dance Moms” star, Jill Vertes, says in the 30-second trailer which was released by Lifetime Friday. “Abby is a strong woman but this is breaking her down,” adds fellow star Melissa Gisoni. “It’s a bloody war,” says mom Holly Frazier.

Contradictory to her former co-star's statements, Christi, who exited the show with her 13-year-old daughter, Chloe Lukasiak, after the show’s Season 4 finale in October, claims she has not dedicated her post-reality-TV career to destroying her daughter’s former dance instructor. “Funny they are saying that Kelly and I are out to ‘destroy’ a certain dance studio when we could actually care less about the woman,” Christi tweeted Dec. 12.

Fellow former “Dance Moms” star, Kelly Hyland, also took to Twitter to address the allegations. “If I wanted to ruin anyone, I would have a done ‘Tell All’ a year ago,” Kelly wrote Dec. 14, teasing fans by adding, “I have A LOT to tell.”

“Dance Moms” viewers will remember that Kelly, and her daughters, Brooke, 16, and Paige, 14, parted ways with the network in November 2013 after Kelly engaged in a physical brawl with Abby. Their fight, captured by Lifetime cameras, aired on a Season 4 episode of the series in February. Following in line with Kelly’s claims against Abby in her ongoing lawsuit, Kelly says it’s Abby, not her former customers, who are destroying lives.

“… It is a teacher who is trying to destroy her students and we are the smart moms to remove our kids,” Kelly said to Christi on Twitter of the show's lead.

While some team Abby fans have expressed their excitement over Christi and Chloe’s leave from the program ahead of the Season 5 premiere next month, Christi has revealed she is unfazed by the hate. “To the haters who can’t wait to watch the show without me: have at it!” she said Saturday. “Glad to be gone!! Hope ur happy to support a BULLY!!! Nice morals.”

Season 5 of “Dance Moms” will follow Abby and the four remaining members of the ALDC team as they venture to Los Angeles to open Abby’s West Coast studio, ALDC LA. Original “Dance Moms” stars, Maddie Ziegler and Kendall Vertes, 12, Mackenzie Ziegler, 10, and Nia Frazier, 14, will reprise their roles. Two of the standout stars from Season 2 of Abby’s spinoff Lifetime series, “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition,” Kalani Hilliker, 14, and JoJo Siwa, 11, have also joined the cast.

“Dance Moms” Season 5, episode 1 airs Tuesday, Jan. 6 , 2015 at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
