He’s being forced to marry his former hook-up in order to avoid jail time for attempted murder. However, a last-minute reprieve could arrive to interrupt Sonny and Leo’s nuptials on the Thursday, Dec. 13 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

After Leo (Greg Rikaart) returned to town and revealed to Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey) that he wasn’t actually dead, he became a threat to everything the two men had hoped to have on the NBC soap. The biggest threat he has posed has been alleged photographic proof he says he has which will put the two in prison for trying to kill him—and warning that if Sonny doesn’t marry him, that he will take it to the police and send them both away for a long time.

Feeling there was no other way out, Sonny agreed to the wedding, and he and Leo are now in the middle of their ceremony as Sheila (Tionne Watkins) officiates and Sonny’s parents, Justin (Wally Kurth) and Adrienne (Judi Evans) look on sadly. However, someone kicked in the door as Sheila asked if anyone objected, interrupting the process.

Most likely, the person interrupting will be Will, who swore he would put a stop to the proceedings because of his love for his one-time husband. However, it seems unlikely he’d actually be able to put a stop to the wedding, but even if he is somehow successful, Leo isn’t likely to slink off without still trying to cause trouble for the two men.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
