He has been trying to help out more than a few of his former flames as they all struggle with personal problems. However, JJ will take things potentially one step too far when it comes to helping Theresa reclaim her life on the Friday, July 13 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

JJ (Casey Moss) has not only been helping Lani (Sal Stowers) as she copes with the loss of her son, but he has been helpful to Theresa (Jen Lilley) as well, allowing her to crash at his place while she has been working to either get Brady (Eric Martsolf) back or win custody of their son, Tate. Things were looking up in terms of his situation with his roommate as well on the NBC soap because she and Brady had finally come to an agreement regarding joint custody and Theresa was ready to move on. However, things quickly changed.

Desperate to give Brady the upper hand, Eve (Kassie DePaiva) worked with Victor (John Aniston) to get social services to visit the apartment Theresa and JJ are sharing, and the worker appeared to find drugs in the apartment. The drugs are a plant that he himself had, but the damage to Theresa’s chances at still having custody of Tate will be done.

Naturally, both Theresa and JJ, who have long since left their individual pasts with drugs behind, will each deny that the mysterious substance belongs to them, but no matter how much Theresa swears she hasn’t been doing drugs again, it won’t help her at the hearing, because she will be proven as an unfit parent regardless.

JJ will shock everyone however when he turns up at the hearing and makes the stunning announcement that the drugs are actually his, as he makes an attempt to help save Theresa. However, even if the move works in her favor, it will have serious consequences for JJ, who has already struggled in his life.

After giving up being a cop following his accidentally shooting Theo, JJ found new purpose in life as a paramedic and seemed to finally be in the right place for himself and his life, despite dealing with the humiliation of Lani getting pregnant with Eli (Lamon Archey) and lying to him about it. Now though, his whole career could be on the line because of his attempt to help Theresa, and it could put him in a dark place once again.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
