Demi Lovato is finally opening up about her sexuality in her documentary, “Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated.

Ahead of its release on YouTube on Oct. 17, People revealed that Lovato will address the ongoing question about whether or not she’s open to dating women. The former “X-Factor” judge was spotted hanging out with Los Angeles-based DJ Lauren Abedini at Disneyland last month, and reports swirled that they were dating.

But when Lovato sat down for an interview with Pride Source, she refused to directly address her sexuality. Instead, the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer urged her fans to watch her upcoming documentary and said that that’s where she will be commenting on the topic. She also said, “I love who I love,” which left fans wondering whether or not she is really dating Abedini.

In the film, Lovato tells her fans that she’s been using dating apps to meet both men and women that she could connect with. “I am open to human connection,” she said. When asked to comment further on her sexuality, Lovato cryptically says that she’s always been open to pursuing romantic relationships with both men and women.

Lovato was previously in a relationship with Wilmer Valderrama for six years before calling it quits in June of last year. The couple announced their decision to split via their respective Instagram accounts. In their post, the 36-year-old actor and the 23-year-old singer said that they have decided to remain friends following their “difficult decision.”

This year, Lovato started dating MMA fighter Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos, but they also split five months later. Since then, Lovato has not officially dated anyone. In fact, in her “Simply Complicated” documentary, the singer is bound to tell her fans that even though she’s open to dating both men and women, she’s single at the moment.

“I value my time by myself now, and I value my time with my friends. And I have just learned to really appreciate my me time and getting to know myself and learning to fall in love with myself before I fall in love with anyone else,” she said.
