Every new season in “Destiny 2” brings a torrent of new items in the game, but Season of the Lost is extra special. Apart from a new season pass and more loot, “Destiny 2” is getting some new major features that can drastically affect the game in a greater sense.

Trials of Osiris Rewards Rework and Matchmaking

The endgame PvP mode has received a new card system that will reward good performance without necessarily punishing lost matches. Players will receive rewards by completing games and winning rounds, but the best loot will still be reserved for the best PvP players who can dominate their opponents.

Anti-Cheat

Bungie partnered with Battleye to bring a decent anti-cheat system to “Destiny 2,” much to the joy of Crucible and Gambit players. Hopefully, Battleye will be able to quell the cheater problem in the game’s PvP modes and bring a healthier experience for everyone.

Crossplay

At long last, Guardians on all platforms will be able to go on adventures together now that crossplay has been enabled. However, players can still opt out of crossplay if they don’t fancy playing with others, especially when PvP is involved.

Legendary Stasis Weapons

A new batch of non-exotic stasis weapons has been added to “Destiny 2,” giving everyone a chance to use the powerful stasis effect against their enemies in both PvE and PvP.

New Activities

The Shattered Realm and Astral Alignment are this season’s new activities, with the former being a weekly mission, while the latter is a new six-player matchmade activity. Both activities revolve around saving Mara Sov’s tech witches, with Astral Alignment serving as a prequel of sorts to excursions in the Shattered Realm.

Exotic Weapons

Season 15 will feature a new exotic quest for the Ager’s Sceptre stasis trace rifle, while the season pass will give players access to the Lorentz Drive linear fusion rifle. Those who purchase the pass will have instant access to the Lorentz Drive, while everyone else will have to level up their season pass to 35 before getting the weapon.
