The Wednesday Powerball drawing did not result in a grand-prize winner for the estimated $20 million jackpot with a cash option of $13.4 million.

The next drawing will take place on Saturday and will see the jackpot climb to an estimated $31 million with a cash option of $20.7 million.

The winning lottery numbers drawn on Wednesday night were 22, 30, 40, 42, 48, with a red Powerball pull of 16. The PowerPlay was 2X.

Along with no jackpot winners, there were also no instant millionaires. Players who would have hit the Match 5 would have won a $1 million prize.

However, if a ticketholder would have hit the Match 5 with the 2X Power Play, they would have won a $2 million prize.

Although there were no million-dollar wins from the latest jackpot, several smaller monetary prizes resulted from the Wednesday night drawing.

There were five players who hit the Match 4 plus red Powerball and won $50,000 each. Meanwhile, six players ended up matching four numbers plus the red Powerball with a 2X Power Play, winning $100,000.

The rest of the monetary wins from the latest lottery drawing ranged between $4 and $200.

The Powerball jackpot will continue to grow following its reset after a player from Connecticut won the $185.3 million jackpot on Valentine’s Day. The winning ticket was sold at a One Stop convenience store in Cheshire, Connecticut.

This latest winning ticket marks the ninth Powerball jackpot won in Connecticut, making it the second-largest prize won in the state’s lottery history.

To become a Powerball winner, a player must match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination. Five numbers are selected from 1 to 69 for the white balls, and a number is selected from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.

The Powerball costs $2 per play. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
