'Digimon Adventure' Episode 40 Is Not Airing This Sunday: New Release Date Out

After the potato adventure, the Children and the Digimon continue their journey in the Digital World. But fans will have to wait a little longer for the next mission as "Digimon Adventure" Episode 40 gets delayed. The new episode, titled "Strike! The Killer Shot!," is not releasing this Sunday.

"Digimon Adventure" Episode 40 is now scheduled to air on March 21.

The latest preview trailer shows Sora and Taichi's joint killer shot striking Toropiamon.

"A floating jungle and the fruit falling from it suddenly appear before the Children. Taichi, Agumon, Sora and Piyomon head to the jungle to gather fruit for everyone," the synopsis for "Digimon Adventure" Episode 40 read, as Wikimon tweeted.

In the previous episode, Taichi, Sora, Joe, and the others arrive at a rest stop to relax and prepare for the battle. The oasis looks desolate but they find a cafe serving delicious burgers and fries. Taichi and the others are ecstatic to see the place.

There are several Digimon and they don't seem to be the scary ones. Taichi wonders how they are serving the real world's food in the Digital World.

Burgamon introduces himself and reveals they can eat as many burgers as they want for free. Meanwhile, Joe is upset the Digimon are not eating fries. He feels it is unacceptable to eat burgers without crispy fries.

He finally meets Potamon who shares the same love for fries and anything made out of potatoes.

However, Potamon evolves into Jyagamon and starts to destroy the oasis. Taichi, Joe, and the others quickly respond to the attacks. Toward the end, Joe uses the power of his heart to pacify Jyagamon and reminds him of his love for potatoes.
