Every month, Xbox One gamers who have an Xbox Live Gold subscription can download and play a selection of free games. However, Xbox Live Gold is more than a free gaming service, Pocket-lint notes. It also gives Xbox One X, Xbox One S, or even original Xbox One owners the chance to play their games online and get discounts on many digital games on the Xbox Store.

You can purchase a subscription for Xbox Live Gold at $9.99 per month. You can pay $25 for three months, or you can choose to pay $60 for a year of membership.

From Sept. 1 to 30, you can play the game that truly first showcased the power of the Xbox One. “Tom Clancy’s The Division” is an online multiplayer co-operative shoot ‘em up set in a destroyed New York City.

“The Book of Unwritten Tales 2” will be available on Xbox Live Gold from Sept. 16 to Oct. 15. It’s a comedy point-and-click adventure video game created by German developer King Art Games, With 20 hours’ worth of story, you will likely be gripped by this game for a while.

The sequel to “De Blob,” “De Blob 2” will be available for free download from Sept. 1 to 15 and is a platform puzzle video game. You are the Blob, a gelatinous mask who has to stop the inkies who have ridden the world of color. This title was developed by Blue Tongue Entertainment, Blitworks, and Halfbrick Studios and published by THQ and THQ Nordic.

Sept. 16 to 30 will see the 2003 classic “Armed and Dangerous” as available for download. It’s a third-person action-adventure shooter that parodies other games and several media. It was developed by Planet Moon Studios and published by Lucasarts.

Out of last month’s free games, “Override: Mech City Brawl” will still be available for download until Sept. 15.
