Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has walked away from bidding on Twitter, the Financial Times reported on Friday.

“In this case we’ve walked away. It wasn’t the right fit for us,” Marc Benioff said in an interview with The Financial Times.

While Salesforce shares are up almost 5% on the news, Twitter is down about 6%.

It was just last week Benioff expressed disinterest to investors about making a bid on Twitter, but this is the first time he’s directly shot down the idea.

After losing interest from Disney and Google last week, Salesforce was the last remaining bidder for Twitter.

Benioff said at Salesforce’s Dreamforce conference last week “We look at everything. And we don’t buy most things, and we haven’t agreed to buy that company…it’s an unpolished jewel.”
