With “Good Witch” getting a Halloween film each year and “When Calls the Heart” premiering its newest Christmas movie later this month, Hallmark Channel fans are left wondering about “Chesapeake Shores.”

The series wrapped up its third season in October and has yet to have a holiday movie or special. When International Business Times spoke with “Chesapeake Shores” star Jesse Metcalfe in August, we asked him if he’d be interested in changing that.

“A big part of the Hallmark audience has been asking for a ‘Chesapeake Shores’ movie — a ‘Chesapeake Shores' Christmas movie,” he said. “I kind of have mixed feelings on that. I just feel like we do a series, and I wouldn’t want to diminish the series or dilute the series or the brand, in any way, by doing anything like that.”

He continued: “I mean, typically, an MOW [movie of the week] based on a show kind of signals the end of the series…and I just think — I just think that we’re just getting started. So, I wouldn’t want to dilute the brand just yet.”

Well, apparently the Christmas spirit’s helped Metcalfe untangle his mixed feelings about doing a holiday-themed film for his Hallmark series because he tweeted on Tuesday about wanting to do just that.

“#ChesapeakeShores Christmas Episode/Movie would be awesome,” the actor said, along with some Christmas emojis, raised hand emojis and exclamation points.

No matter if that ends up happening or not, Metcalfe’s sure of one thing, and that’s that he “would like to do at least another three seasons” of the Hallmark drama, which has yet to be renewed for a fourth season.
